SURVEY: Teenagers Use Internet to Find a Boyfriend

 According to Nielsen, one in four teens using the Internet to find partners and 38% are considering using an online dating service.On the other hand, 37% of Australian teenagers surveyed said they would not use online services to meet with someone.For those who use online dating services, 33.6% reported short-term relationship, 16.2% said they have a long term relationship, and 8.9% said they had been married or in a serious relationship, and 2.7% of them already have a child.RSVP.com (owned by Fairfax Media, publisher of the Herald) asks Nielsen entered into a comprehensive survey of online dating habits. Initial results show the current online dating has become part of the prevailing mindset today.Survey shows to those who use an online dating, 62% had a date with someone they met them online. The man looked slightly more like to use online dating services than women. As many as 72% of men are seeking a serious relationship, but many were simply seeking a friend or sex.Nielsen poll was conducted on 3057 users online during November and in January 3764, with the size of population data in general.
